A-1 Self Storage is looking for a full-time MANAGER TRAINEE for one of our East County San Diego area self storage facilities. The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, outgoing, highly motivated, great at customer service and have a strong retail sales background. This position involves providing superior customer service in-person and over the telephone. It also includes ensuring the property is clean, well-maintained and meets company standards. All positions require some janitorial duties and weekend scheduling.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to work weekends
Excellent customer service skills in-person and on the telephone
At least 1-2 years of retail sales experience required
Must be willing and able to perform routine janitorial duties
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be detail oriented, have great organizational & multi-tasking skills
Must be a team player, yet able to work independently with minimal supervision
Computer literate w/ basic proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, car insurance coverage & clean DMV record
Must be able to successfully pass alcohol/drug screening & background check
Must be available to work 40 hours per week, any day of the week without restrictions, all positions require weekend work

“I live in Arizona and visit my daughter frequently. This visit, however, was going to be a longer visit. We planned on doing a number of craft projects together. I decided to pull my cargo trailer to have better access to my supplies. I parked my trailer in my daughter’s apartment parking using her extra parking pass. No problem for the first two weeks. Then I was told that trailers could not be parked there and that I had to move it within 48 hours. I offered to pay for a space, but my offer was rejected. I planned to return home early. I asked them for an additional 18 hours. I was told that towing had already been scheduled for the 48 hour deadline. Boy, was I unhappy.
I had rented storage once before with A-1, so I headed there [sic], San Juan Capistrano location. Remove Your Lock. The lock on your storage unit belongs to you, so don’t forget to take it with you! You can use it again if you need to rent with us in the future. Because you have the only keys, if you leave your lock on, the space is still occupied by you even when it’s empty.

We are currently seeking a part-time Customer Service Representative for our Sales Center in Mission Valley. The position involves handling inbound telephone sales calls, consulting, booking reservations, accepting credit card payments, and providing superior customer service. Other duties include handling online inquiries & reservations via e-mail and “live” chat, assisting our rental/payment kiosk customers remotely, meeting individual & team sales goals, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, detail oriented with great organizational & multi-tasking skills.

Climate control storage units are extremely handy when it comes to storing your furniture, antiques, musical instruments, or any fine art. Climate controlled storage units keep items in a constant set temperature. If you are going to be placing valuable items in storage, you will want to consider a climate controlled unit.
Furniture – Wooden and leather furniture are sensitive to extreme climates and will want to be stored in climate controlled units. Wooden furniture (bed frames, tables, chairs, dressers, and more ) can be damaged when it is exposed to too much moisture.
Appliances – Your household appliances including washers, dryers, microwaves, refrigerator all need climate control storage. Climate control protects electronic parts from cracking and rusting,
Musical Instruments- Musical instruments are very delicate and need to be handled with great especially if storing for a long period of time. Humidity can dry out wood instruments such as guitars ans pianos. Climate control will reduce moisture and help eliminate dust which will preserve your musical instruments.
Photography & Artwork – When storing photos climate control is a must. If temperatures get too hot and humid and photos are stacked on top of one another, the prints can start to blend together.
Properly storing your items during the warm summer months will help protect your items from the heat. Climate control is offered at select A-1 Self Storage locations. Check with your facility to confirm.
