A-1 Self Storage is looking for a full-time SALES ASSOCIATE to work in our newest self storage facility in Downtown San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, outgoing, highly motivated, great at customer service, and have a strong retail sales or customer service background. This position involves providing superior customer service in-person and over the telephone. It also includes ensuring the property is clean, well-maintained and meets company standards. All positions require some janitorial duties and weekend scheduling.
A-1 Self Storage currently owns and operates 51 self storage facilities throughout California and Texas. A-1 Self Storage is a 60 year old family owned company headquartered in San Diego and is one of California’s premier self storage companies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to work weekends
Bi-lingual preferred
Excellent customer service skills in-person and on the telephone
At least 1-2 years of retail sales or customer service experience required
Must be willing and able to perform routine janitorial duties
Able to work independently & with minimal supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be detail oriented, have great organizational & multi-tasking skills
Must be a team player, yet able to work independently with minimal supervision
Computer literate w/ basic proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, car insurance coverage & clean DMV record
Must be able to successfully pass alcohol/drug screening & background check
All positions require weekend working hours

Length of Storage
How long you are looking to store your vehicle? This will help you decide if you want it away from the outside elements or if it will be okay to have it in an outdoor parking space. For long term storage, we offer monthly services, such as trickle charges and tire pressure checks, on the vehicle at our Downtown San Diego location.
Budget
Each type of storage has a different cost. Consider your budget to help you decide which type of storage is best for you. With several different vehicle storage options, we can help you find a space within your budget.
Vehicle Type
Are you looking to store your classic car, or your utility truck? If you are looking to keep your classic car away from the dirt and sun, we have indoor storage to keep your vehicle free form the outside elements. If you are storing a utility truck, an outdoor parking space offers quick and easy access. We offer small and large outdoor and indoor units to meet your needs. We offer standard car parking spaces as well as RV size parking spaces. Our indoor units range in size as well.

Due to a planned overnight power outage by Anaheim Public Utilities, our A-1 Self Storage on Ball Road will have no customer access in the early morning hours of Sunday, May 8th. We expect to have power restored by 9 am, at which time access will be granted. Please plan accordingly.

First and foremost – Exactly what we got with A-1 Self Storage!! Secure, video camera/state of the art locking system for perimeter doors & unit, safe (well lit hallways) and good customer service. The units are clean and hallways/outside areas are free of debri.
Our representative assisted in determining our needs and appropriate size, explained in detail how each unit is secured independently, provided equipment to make the move in easier and represented the company in a professional and efficient manner.
