Asset Management: During his first 8 years with the company, Brian's property management experience included managing over 1,500,000 square feet of commercial, retail and self-storage space. During that time, he also headed up the company's leasing department, which achieved an overall occupancy level of 95%.

Site Selection: For the past 14 years, Brian has been very active in all new project analysis, acquisition and site selection decisions of each property. These activities encompassed involvement with financial and market feasibility studies and interfacing with community and government entities to achieve project approval.

Finance: For the past 14 years, Brian Caster has worked very closely with Caster's team putting together construction and permanent loans in addition to establishing lines of credit with banks, life insurance companies and Wall Street "conduits". He has appropriated, in the aggregate, over $300,000,000 in loans for the company's projects representing construction, refinance and permanent loans for approximately 40 projects.

Construction Management: During the past 12 years, while being involved in the site location and analysis, Brian Caster continued through the construction, bidding process, and building design processes. He helped design and construct many "state-of-the-art" storage facilities which have been written up in storage association publications and newspapers.

Brian Caster has been intimately involved in building 35 storage projects, three retail centers, two office projects, and several build-to-suit projects. He thoroughly understands field operation, as he has worked directly in the field during different stages of construction.

A native San Diegan, Brian Caster, and his wife Denise, have four children. They are active in outdoor activities including camping, fishing, diving, golf and boating. They enjoy being involved with their church and worship together as a family.

Brian Caster has been a member of the Mission Valley East Rotary for the past fifteen years and through Rotary, works with the homeless and helps raise money each year to help many worthy causes in San Diego and Mexico. Brian has also served as the Director of International Service for his Rotary club. He is a past president of Toastmasters (achieving A.T.M.) and active in professional associations such as ULI, BIA, CIC, and the Self Storage Association. Brian serves on the Board of Serving Hands Int'l. He and his wife are also involved with Cursillo, an outreach in their Church. Brian, along with his father, is a founding member of the Family Business Institute at the University of San Diego.
